Give on Giving Tuesday

Christmas is around the corner and stores are busy with their Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales. At this time of year, we are often focused with shopping and buying the items on our gift list. However, do we remember those who are less fortunate? That’s what Giving Tuesday is all about.

This year, Giving Tuesday takes place on Tuesday November 29th. It is a day for all of us to take a moment and give what we can to transform our community and the world. Organizations that receive donations and do charitable work are often able to match your donation to double your giving power.

For example, Diabetes Canada, the nation’s most trusted provider of diabetes education and research, will match your donation for a limited time, doubling the power of your generosity. You can visit their website at diabetes.ca and follow the links to donate today.

In Brampton, there are several organizations that help those in need, providing food and other support services to families and individuals that deserve our help. We’ve provided information on how you can do your part for Giving Tuesday this year!
